Verpackung

Mehl wird traditionell in Papier verpackt, aber was ist mit all den anderen Produkten aus unserem Sortiment?
Unsere Klarsichtbeutel bestehen zum größten Teil aus biologisch abbaubarem Zellglas, gekennzeichnet durch ein grünes Verschlussband.
So versuchen wir bei allen Produkten wo es möglich ist, auf Plastik bei der Verpackung zu verzichten.

Wasserkraft

Die Mühle wird mit dem Strom betrieben, den unsere zwei Francis-Turbinen erzeugen.
Beide Turbinen laufen 24h am Tag und können bei gutem Wasserstand zusammen bis zu 75kW Strom produzieren. Das reicht nicht nur für den Betrieb der Mühle. Ein großer Anteil der erzeugten Energie wird ins Netz der Stadtwerke Waiblingen eingespeist.

Regionalität

Wir beziehen all unser Getreide ausschließlich von den umliegenden Feldern aus Hegnach, Waiblingen, Fellbach und Umgebung.
Unsere Produkte werden ebenfalls hauptsächlich regional verkauft.
Durch die kurzen Wege sparen wir jede Menge CO2-Emissionen im Transport.
